The Williams Atlantic Gulf Eastern Interstates team is seeking an Operations Tech III at Station 54 in Washington, LA.  The Operations Tech III maintains and/or operates all natural gas separation and dehydration plant equipment and facilities including a natural gas storage field, engine driven reciprocating natural gas compressors, natural gas dehydration units, and their ancillary equipment (pumps, heat exchangers, filters, instrumentation and controls, etc.), piping, valves, separators, storage tanks, air compressors, and auxiliary generators in a reliable, safe, and efficient manner, and in accordance with Williams policies, practices, standards, and programs.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintains large horse power heavy machinery and facility
  • Performs mechanical duties and is part of a crew that performs maintenance on engines and ancillary equipment
  • Operates and maintains all natural gas driven reciprocating engines, high pressure natural gas compressors including storage field equipment, separation and dehydration equipment including their ancillary equipment (pumps, heat exchangers, filters, instrumentation and controls, etc.), piping, valves, separators, storage tanks, air compressors, auxiliary generators, etc.
  • Repairs, maintains, and operates onshore pipeline equipment, which includes valves, piping, pigging equipment, pipeline right-of-way, meter/regulator stations, and inspection of third party activities.
  • Willing to work shifts and on call rotations.

 

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Good computer skills including knowledge of computer programs such as Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Individual must be self-motivated with a willingness and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Physical Requirements: standing/walking, climbing stairs, ladders, scaffolds; bending/stooping/squatting; carrying and lifting items which sometimes weigh more than 45 lbs.
  • Working Conditions: Exposure to extreme heat and/or cold temperatures; high noise levels, enclosed spaces.
  • Willing to work after hours, weekends, shift work and share on-call rotation

 

Preferred

  • Associates or two-year technical school degree in mechanical, electronic or related field, but equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years’ natural gas pipeline, compression or maintenance experience.
