The purpose of our technician intern program is to provide our interns with meaningful work and resources to refine their technical skills so that they may serve as a robust candidate pool utilized to meet our entry-level, full-time needs. Together, we make energy happen!

Our organization is seeking an Operations Intern to assist in the operation, inspection, maintenance and repair of equipment on selected natural gas gathering systems: compression, dehydration, separation, measurement, pigging and cathodic protection.

Responsibilities include:

  • natural gas measurement
  • pipeline one-calls
  • maintenance and operation of gas gathering pipelines and meters
  • obtaining natural gas samples for analysis
  • operating and maintaining dehydration units
  • repair/rebuild of valves & regulators
  • witnessing meter calibrations
  • completing maintenance records, service reports and other required documents; perform core pipeline maintenance tasks


  • Must be currently enrolled and have completed one semester of the Petroleum & Natural Gas Program at Lackawanna College and be eligible for an internship.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have a valid state drivers’ license with an excellent driving record
