Summary and Purpose


Our organization is seeking a highly qualified GIS Analyst to be member our Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania team. Reporting to the Supervisor of GIS, the primary purpose of the Analyst is to gather, maintain, and analyze spatial information to provide capital project and operational support utilizing Williams’ Geographic Information Systems.


Duties and Responsibilities


* Maintain data in an enterprise GIS database.

* Create and maintain spatial data and attributes.

* Load, reference, project, and prepare data from outside providers.

* Manage pipeline and facility project changes in GIS. Prepare project authorization, land acquisition, design, and construction deliverables.

* Design and build GIS database schemas for local area needs, setup and maintain databases and connections.

* Communicate with stakeholders. Coordinate resources and deliverables for all groups involved in engineering, construction, and operations.

* Interpret user needs and deliver useful GIS products.

* Follow known project management methodologies in the execution of projects.

* Prepare, load, and maintain metadata for GIS data.

* Perform spatial analysis.

* Train and support cross functional teams to use GIS applications and tools for simple maps, light analysis, and data collection.

* Work on special project teams as requested.


Minimum Qualifications


* High School Diploma or equivalent

* Proficient in the use of ArcGIS Desktop 10.0 or higher

* 1- 3 years’ experience utilizing GIS

* Ability to demonstrate an understanding of industry specific pipeline data and data management tools

* Previous experience with map making and data analysis

* Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint)

* Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing to other individuals, teams, customers, and stakeholders of the business


Preferred Qualifications


* Bachelor’s Degree in GIS or related field (Geography, Design, or Drafting Technology) preferred

* Map Making and Data Analysis within the oil and gas pipeline experience preferred
