Williams is seeking a motivated Workday Release, Governance and Change Management employee for the Workday HR application.   Works closely with Workday Product Manager, Workday Integration Analysts, HRIS, and HR partners to manage Workday Releases and Change Management Processes per Workday Governance standards.   Strong coordination with Workday solution, business, integration team, internal systems, and external vendors.  Strong customer focus, leading efforts around Workday releases through the change management process adhering to standard policies and procedures.   Follows ITIL change management and work intake processes utilizing ServiceNow performing change impact analysis tasks utilizing Workday agile methodologies.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and Manage bi-yearly Workday releases.
  • Perform Impact Analysis for new Workday functionality two times per year.
  • Coordinate Workday releases and change management process.
  • Provide education on new Workday functionality.
  • Perform Tenant analysis of impact of Workday Releases of new functionality.
  • Provide summary of critical items in the new Workday releases.
  • Responsible for organizing, documenting and following up on outcomes of Change Control Board (CAB) meeting.
  • Coordination with Workday Solution, business, integration team, internal and external systems and QA team.
  • Develop plan and testing strategy and evaluate regression testing tools.
  • Responsible for coordinating ongoing small to medium enhancements (testing, migration)
  • Work on identifying additional functionality from the release that could/should be considered and would work with the HR COE’s, HRIS team, and application leads on adopting.
  • Responsible for maintaining overall release plans and release coordination across Workday Solution and associated applications.
  • Understanding of Workday data model, corporate system architecture, interfaces, reporting, and data loading procedures.
  • Works closely with the reporting and configuration / data load resources.
  • Enforce data governance and attention to data quality.
  • Change Control Board (CAB) Leader – responsible for leading CAB meeting and resolving priority issues with the business and relevant IT leadership.
  • Review status of work and provide reporting to Leadership.
  • Monitor system Performance and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Reviews Workday release notes and works, business process owners and integration lead to assess technical impacts and determines solutions

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8 + years of experience with Workday data model.
  • Exposure to all phases of systems development.
  • Workday certified preferred.
  • Functional Workday knowledge with core HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Absence Management, Time Tracking, Compensation, Learning, etc. a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Functional knowledge of a Workday domain area.
  • Project Management Skills required, agile methodology.
  • Service Management/Change Management.
