Our organization is seeking a Systems Administrator IV.

This Systems Administrator - Microsoft Windows Server position will be part of Hosting Services, which provide services to various applications within Williams.


System Analyst IV - IT Job Purpose:

  • Design, Manage and Support Windows/VMWare servers
  • Design, Manage and Support Microsoft Active Directory, SCCM
  • Continually look to improve the ROI, performance and reliability of server systems through research and working with vendors like Microsoft and other Williams internal teams to understand roadmap, upgrades, and future product capabilities as they may apply to Williams business requirements.  Architect and implement these improvements as business needs dictate.

Systems Analyst IV - IT Job Duties:

  • Design, Administer and support on-premises WinTel/VM servers.  Educate our outsourced provider on these policies and procedures as they evolve.
  • Administer and support Microsoft Active Directory, SCCM
  • Work with outsource provider to ensure they are enabled to meet SLAs and KPIs per supplier contract.
  • Work within a matrix of teams within Williams and our outsourcing provider to provide exceptional service to our end users (e.g. Consumer Services, Service Desk, Identity Management, Access Control, and VIP Support)
  • 24x7x365 support, priority response for high priority applications and related systems
  • Monitoring the environments via Nagios, Solar Winds, HP-OM and other means
  • Work with teams like Network and Security to ensure the server environment is secure and performing satisfactorily
  • Lead Windows server maintenance efforts (i.e. regular monthly patching) and modernization efforts (ensuring operating systems are within support lifecycle)
  • DR Planning and testing
  • Cross-training of less experienced staff and offshore outsourced staff



Required Skills:

  • Windows Server Administration, Microsoft Active Directory
  • VMWare/vCenter administration
  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Strong work ethic, and works well within team including offshore teammates in India
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Standards development, process improvement, conceptual skills, requirements analysis
  • Reporting/presenting
  • Able to participate in 24/7/365 on-call rotation, some rare occasions to travel to remote sites/data centers
  • Ability to coach and provide guidance to less experienced staff.
  • 3+ years’ experience with SCCM
  • 5+ years’ experience with VMware vCenter and vSphere




  • Bachelor’s in MIS or similar or equitable related IT experience  
  • 10+ years of experience in Windows Admin and AD Admin roles, MBA a plus
  • Related Microsoft certifications a big plus (Windows, Active Directory, etc.)
