Williams is developing an automation platform for both business and IT functions.  The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years’ experience in IT, be considered a technical leader and have some architecture experience, be familiar with the concepts of how automation works, have excellent communications skills and be comfortable speaking to groups, and have a passion for making a difference.


Role Expectations:

  • This is a senior individual contributor position.
  • Work with various infrastructure/applications/security teams to define technical roadmap for automation.
  • Refine, Document, and publish IT standards, best practices, procedures, policies and guidelines to ensure a high-degree systems standardization, availability and stability.
  • Maintain a relationship with vendors and awareness of products on the landscape that could potentially be deployed in the Williams’ environment.
  • Recommend, architect and implement solutions to resolve technological needs for business operations.
  • Lead the effort to implement a formal automation tools and processes.  This position will create the roadmap and ultimately lead the initial operational implementation effort for the enterprise.
  • Analyze current business strategies; and recommends, advises, and presents technological alternatives to meet short and long term technological needs.
  • Ensure planning, design and implementation processes to meet or exceed projects goals and business objectives. 
  • Proactively recommends changes to avoid potential systems issues.  
  • While this position is not formally on call, there may be times you are called on to assist in resolving complex issues & outages.
  • Work closely with Security to ensure IT architecture is effectively secured.
  • Working knowledge of XaaS services.  Lead or be critical team member evaluating the various XaaS various XaaS offerings from Vendors. 


Performs other related duties as required.



Should have experience with the following technologies or environments

  • Scripting skills
  • Strong technical base in infrastructure and application development
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large and complex projects
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure Management techniques, monitoring tools, and key vendors in this space.
  • Familiar with Industry standard security requirements and designs.
  • An awareness of principles of all areas of infrastructure, networking, storage, database, server virtualization is important.
  • Strong communications skills.    


    Desired Skills:

  • 10+ years of Information Technology experience
  • An understanding on E2E automation strategy, orchestration platform (ServiceNow) and RPA tools (Automation Anywhere, PEGA, Blueprism,etc)
  • Knowledge of Cloud Services  including  Public/Private or Hybrid environments
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Services (O365, Azure)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Services (O365, Azure)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience with Automation tools and Orchestration tools and techniques
  • Ability to travel to meet with vendors, etc.
