Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with a proven track record of success to join our team.  The role will be located in Tulsa, OK at corporate headquarters.  The primary responsibility of this role will be to work within the Gathering Compression Center of Excellence (GC COE) to lead the development and maintenance of the standard gathering compressor station designs utilizing the Williams Project Life Cycle approach. This role will give the successful candidate valuable project and design experience and will bring high visibility to key leaders and projects.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct projects while collaborating with internal and external project stakeholders under the guidance of Williams core values and beliefs.
  • Based on the GC-15 Product Line Plans, develop and implement definitive Project Life Cycle project plans which include cost, schedule, risk and change management.
  • Demonstrate consistent ability to lead functional departments in a matrix organization, manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Lead, direct, and influence internal project stakeholders to produce project deliverables on time and on budget while achieving the project objectives all without formal authority.
  • Contract and manage external 3rd parties such as consultants, engineering companies, vendors, and contractors to achieve the project objectives.
  • Ensure all work is planned and performed in strict accordance with Williams policies and procedures (WIMS, PSM, Project Life Cycle, and other processes).
  • Identify opportunities to improve the GC COE workflow processes to deliver our best solutions.
  • Accountable for the development and maintenance of standard gathering compressor station designs including: pre-designed options, facility layouts, pre-fabricated skids, and equipment.
  • Accountable for the development of design documentation, including process safety information (PSI), to support new compressor station design.
  • Influence decisions that improve reliability and operability, reduce operating costs, and create a sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Responsible for implementing continuous improvement opportunities utilizing the Engineering Change Request process.
  • Collaborate with others within the GC COE and Execution, and lead cross-functional teams to support facility standardization and product deliverable production.
  • All duties are to be performed in accordance with Williams’s Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines.

A Successful Candidate Will:

  • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university program.
  • Have 3+ years of facility project management experience in the oil and gas industry, but still acquiring higher level knowledge and capabilities.
  • Have 5+ years of experience in natural gas gathering, transmission and/or production.
  • Have excellent organizational skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both field employees and senior level staff.

 

 

A Successful Candidate May:

  • Possess Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) preferred.
  • Have 3+ years of experience with PLC / Stage-Gate Processes.
  • Have 5+ years of experience in compressor station design, construction, and operations preferred.
  • Have previous field experience in pipeline/compression with a transmission, midstream, or E&P company preferred.
