Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Inspection Standards Specialist with a Quality Assurance-Quality Control background to join our Engineering Services group in Tulsa, OK at our corporate headquarters.  In this key role the successful candidate will possess knowledge of pipeline construction tasks, construction best practices and they key role of inspection.  In addition the applicant will need an understanding of contract administration and project controls for successful project execution during the construction phase.  The positions requires the ability to identify the appropriate construction management principles, construction best practices, and knowledge gaps to improve the construction management program.  A background in Quality Management Systems is a plus.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Review existing company specifications, standards, contract documents and existing inspection manuals to identify all items that should be measured and monitored by each craft.  Manage enterprise daily inspection report by each craft that ties back to the specifications.
  • Identify any additional inspection and reporting items that should be captured according to industry standards or code compliances.  Include the necessary reporting criteria in the daily report that will be developed.
  • Identify ways to provide quality control and quality assurance through the inspection and reporting process.
  • Identify standard knowledge and skill sets required for each inspection craft.
  • Develop training tools to assist contract workers in quickly engaging in new projects, including understanding specification requirements, permitting conditions and drawings.
  • Implementation of tools and on-site training with local Construction Managers and inspection crews for all construction projects.

Qualifications:

A successful candidate will:

  • Possess High School diploma (Required)
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant pipeline and construction experience (Required)
  • Possess knowledge of construction tasks and understanding of contract administration for the development of contracts for construction inspection services (Required)
  • Construction work in oil and gas field (Required)
  • Have experience with Contract administration (Required)
  • Possess a working knowledge of contract law, including indemnity, warranty and general product liability issues (Required).

 

A successful candidate may: 

  • Possess some college education or Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
  • Possess working knowledge of Industry Construction Specifications (Preferred)
  • Have knowledge/experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance processes (Preferred)
