Our organization is seeking an engineer to join our talented workforce. The role of a mechanical integrity engineer is to assist in the mechanical inspections, metallurgical and material science requirements and the plant and pipeline welding services to insure continued performance and integrity of all Williams’s assets in North America.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining OSHA CFR 1910.119 PSM mechanical integrity compliance for an assigned geographical area
  • Assist in maintaining DOT 192 and 195 integrity inspection compliance at compressor and pump stations
  • Recommend inspection methods and frequency related to maintaining API 510, 570 and 653 inspections
  • Determine corrosion and other damage mechanisms in accordance with API 571 and RAGAGEP
  • Recommend and supervise repairs for damaged pressure vessels, piping and tanks in accordance with API, ASME BPVC and NBIC methods
  • Participate in planning, commissioning, and start-up of new and modified facilities.
  • Facilitate API 579 Fitness For Service (FFS) analysis to assist operating areas in determining the remaining life and safe operating limits of assets
  • Maintain and populate Williams inspection data management system, PCMS, related to mechanical integrity equipment records
  • Analyze, evaluate and audit inspection information and compare with archived reports to ensure the adequacy and completeness of data.
  • Work with peers and leaders to ensure that priorities with system operations and area goals are met.
  • Understand industry standards, applicable regulatory codes and requirements, and company standards.
  • Plan, communicate, and execute in accordance with expense and capital forecasting.
  • Prepare and submit analysis and recommendations via written reports and oral presentations.
  • Attend training courses and conferences to stay up to date on asset integrity evaluation methods, welding trends and technologies.
  • Assist the welding SME’s with ongoing welder/welding inspector testing and certification, assist in maintaining the training materials, and stay abreast of industry best practices.

 

Qualifications:

Required

  • Have at least 4 years’ experience in oil and gas industry, specifically API 510, 570 or 653 certifications, but still acquiring higher level knowledge and capabilities.
  • Have experience with gas gathering and processing projects.

 

Preferred

  • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or other technical field.
  • Understand and use engineering modeling applications and economic evaluation tools.
  • Have a Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification or be a registered PE.
  • Be familiar with ASME code design and industry standard analysis software packages, e.g.: Compress, PVElite, Solidworks Simulation, Ansys, Abaqus, etc.
  • Have familiarity with API 580 and 581 risk based inspection methods
