Job Overview:

Provides support/expertise within the maintenance and reliability discipline and will be responsible for the continued development of reliability programs and processes that have a direct impact on key areas, such as safety, efficiency, effectiveness, customer satisfaction, innovation and quality. The Maintenance & Reliability Engineer will partner with Operations, Engineering, Technical Services, and other stakeholders to help achieve appropriate levels of reliability while reducing maintenance and repair costs.  This position reports to the Manager, Maintenance & Reliability



  • Collaborates, strategizes, and is a key participant in the development and implementation of operational reliability programs and projects. Aligns efforts with priorities established by Safety & Operational Discipline as well as the Maintenance & Reliability Council.
  • Researches and proposes maintenance and reliability best practices that are based upon proven industry strategies
  • Collaborates, strategizes, and proposes methods that simplify and improve current maintenance practices, with the objective of optimizing equipment performance, reliability, and maintenance costs
  • Partners with Operations and SME groups to strategize and develop enterprise-wide Condition-based (CBM)/Predictive maintenance (PdM) strategies for our critical equipment classes
  • Performs data analysis and trending while collaborating with Operations and SMEs to identify measures that drive value. Propose new KPIs that effectively monitor and identify opportunities in the areas of safety, asset reliability, and asset utilization
  • Participates as a key member and contributor of the Maintenance and Reliability Council
  • Coordinates and actively manages the WIMS-Baseline Maintenance (BLM) program, working with content owners, SMEs, and Operations to ensure technical content is accurate and effectively conveys expectations on maintenance activities.
  • Leads or participates in Equipment Criticality Assessments, Critical Spares Analyses, and Root Cause Analyses
  • Routinely access and query the CMMS (Maximo) and other equipment databases for data as needed
  • Provides input to engineering standards based upon equipment failure data and lessons learned
  • Interface with all levels of leadership, Operations, and SME’s across the organization



  • B.S. in a technical field is preferred but may be substituted with equivalent industry experience
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) is preferred
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a Maintenance or Reliability Engineer role or engineering role
  • Knowledge of foundational maintenance and reliability concepts, such as Criticality, RCM, FMEA, RCA, MTBF, MTTR, RAM, RBD, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills
