Our organization is looking for a skilled IT Asset Management Analyst to join our Information Technology Asset and Configuration Management group located in Tulsa OK at our corporate headquarters.  This is a critical individual contributor role that will ensure that all hardware and software assets are recorded, tracked and monitor terms and conditions of software license usage.  Also includes managing software assets to ensure license compliance and participate in integrating asset management with other business functions and systems across the enterprise.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for hardware/software/subscription maintenance support renewals.
  • Work with cost center managers to determine options and opportunities for cost containment or reductions.
  • Assist cost center managers with budgeting process related to maintenance budgets.
  • Responsible for providing sourcing of IT products and services in support of the company ensuring quality sourcing solutions are delivered efficiently and effectively bringing maximum value to the organization.
  • Scope and prepare high visibility Request for Proposals, including supporting analysis, comparisons and other required documentation.
  • Work with vendors and management to ensure all new purchases have been added to the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Ensure asset costs and quantities are accurate in CMDB and vendor records.
  • Provide cost center information for enterprise budget and assist with finding appropriate cost center managers for approvals.
  • Ensure CMDB requests are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

 

 

Functional/Technical Competencies:

  • General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office
  • Expert level knowledge of Excel
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with IT asset lifecycle management
  • Good knowledge of all supporting technology for IT Asset Management
  • Good understanding of Asset Management process, policies, procedures, tools, and templates
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools and methodologies
  • Demonstrates leadership and ability to work independently.

Qualifications:

A successful candidate will have (required):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job
  • High school diploma, or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 4-7+ years’ experience with IT Asset and Configuration Management including Contract Reviews and negotiations, Software License Management, HW/SW Maintenance renewals.
  • Experience negotiating software and services contracts required.
  • Experience managing RFP processes required.
  • Knowledge of CMDB management required.
  • Experience with ServiceNow CMDB preferred.
  • Broad software asset management experience ranging from desktop- to enterprise-level software across major software publishers like Microsoft and Oracle
  • Excellent analytical, assessment, planning, verbal and written communications skills
