Are you a Software Developer looking to get your career moving in the right direction? If so, Williams, a recognized leader in the Oil & Gas industry, seeks your Software Development skills to join our dedicated team of IT experts.

 

As a Software Developer, you will become an integral part of our team and support Quorum eSuite and the Energy Trade & Risk Management (ETRM) systems, Openlink Endur and RightAngle.   In general, you will troubleshoot day-to-day issues as well as perform custom development.  Additionally, you will diagnose and resolve issues in custom application code, interfaces, and data with an emphasis on root cause analysis and resolution.  As a Software Developer, you will collaborate with other IT professionals in an environment of innovative thinking that provides technological solutions to achieve overall company objectives.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1.  Support the eSuite, Endur, and RightAngle applications which includes:
    • Providing user support
    • Troubleshooting issues
    • Working with system interfaces
    • Working with the application vendor
    • Managing the application environment
  2. Provide systems analysis and development for system modifications
  3. Manage priorities for multiple simultaneous projects
  4. Participate in projects from development through implementation with little/no supervision

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  2. Ability to work effectively on tight deadlines as necessary
  3. Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers.
  4. Java, .NET C#, SQL and/or Oracle PL/SQ, Microsoft PL/SQL, Oracle PL/SQL
  5. Windows & Unix Servers (basic working knowledge
  6. Microsoft Excel (advanced knowledge: macros, external data, and pivots)
  7. HTML, XML

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, MIS or Computer Science
  2. 5-10 years related experience in business application development
  3. Oil & Gas Industry experience
  4. Energy – measurement, trading, scheduling, accounting, and risk management applications
  5. Ability to utilize a broad range of technologies to support multiple applications

This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position requires the ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, with occasional walking and standing. It also involves repetitive tasks through the use of computer equipment.
