Williams is seeking a motivated OSISoft PI Administrator. Participates in development, testing, implementation, and support activities.  Performs change impact analysis tasks.  Assists in the creation of comprehensive unit test plans and creates and executes test cases in line with test plans. Participates in design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of solutions. Participates in investigation, analysis, and resolution of technical problems related to system functions, programming, and procedures. Assists with post-implementation reviews.




  • Provide day-to-day production support for applications, infrastructure, and end user client tools (ex. Datalink and Process Book)
  • Provide performance optimization and system health monitoring in support of compliance with overall health and availability targets for production systems
  • Provide installation, configuration, and monitoring support for the PI system servers, the application operating systems, interfaces, and client tools on end user workstations
  • Create, monitor, and provide maintenance for PI system tags
  • Provide monitoring and maintenance support for system security, deployment of patches, file backups, system restoration, and password management
  • Provide technical expertise in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems
  • Perform root cause analysis along with recommending and implementing preventive techniques as required
  • Develop and maintain effective application technical support documentation including procedures
  • Analyzes requirements and maintains, tests and integrates application components
  • Solves complex problems with assistance; takes a new perspective using existing solutions
  • Works independently; requires moderate guidance
  • Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented
  • Works with the defined business and technical requirements to deliver software solutions for implementation into the current environment
  • Uses their ability to adapt application to serve user needs
  • Understands and adheres to Williams’ Project Management methodology
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT related field or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of IT or application experience Or 2 years of PI experience, system administration of OSIsofts PI System, tag creation, monitoring, configuration, maintenance or monitoring of OSIsoft PI System servers, interfaces, and user tools
  • Experience with the monitoring and maintenance of OSIsoft PI System security and the deployment of patches
  • Exposure to with the creation and modification of notifications using OSIsofts PI Notifications
  • Working knowledge of application development life cycles
  • Strong organization and customer service skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong team player that works well with others
