IT Customer Applications now seeking an experienced Oracle Database / PL/SQL Analyst responsible for providing application maintenance, application support, application development and project support to GasKit.  The Analyst will be responsible for participating in aspects of development including design, programming, testing, and implementations as well as day to day maintenance, upgrades, and system upkeep. The IT Analyst III should have strong communication skills, work well with teams and understand the importance of standardization and documentation.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications 
  • Analyzes requirements, and maintains, tests and integrates application components 
  • Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented 
  • Provides systems analysis, design and development, including requirements, design, construction, testing and implementation
  • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products, services or processes
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions
  • Works independently, requires minimal guidance
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Provides application software development services or technical support
  • Develops program logic for new applications/functionality or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications 
  • Works with the defined business and technical requirements to deliver software solutions for implementation into the current environment.
  • Strong aptitude for designing functional applications from interpretation of business requirements
  • Uses their ability to adapt application to serve user needs
  • Assists with information gathering and documentation, System Development Lifecycle, and testing required.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management throughout the company



  • 5-7 years’ experience with Oracle Databases and PL/SQL
  • Advanced SQL scripting and utilization and modification, as well as creation of complex stored procedures and logical data queries with error handling.
  • Oracle 11g experience
  • Object oriented design methodologies
  • Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts.
  • Strong formal and informal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and responsibilities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrate a high level of computer knowledge both hardware and software.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science/Engineering, or other technically related field or Bachelor’s degree with equivalent technical experience
  • Experience with large scale business application development
  • Experience with related programming languages (Java, UNIX Shell Scripting, .NET, Python, REST APIs, Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagrams, SQL)
  • Strong support for management of change process and work intake documentation
  • Previous experience with pipeline or energy companies
  • Familiarity with various flow computer protocols
  • Network understanding
  • Process Improvement knowledge
