Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Engineer to join our team.  The role will be located in Tulsa, OK at corporate headquarters.  The primary responsibility of this role will be to work within the Gathering Compression Center of Excellence (COE) to develop and maintain standard gathering compressor station designs utilizing the Williams Project Life Cycle approach. This role will give the successful candidate valuable project and design experience and will bring high visibility to key leaders and projects.

 

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Lead the development of project plans and translate them into coherent, credible, realistic project schedules.
  • Lead the development of new and/or revisions to existing standard gathering compressor station designs including: standard pre-designed options, facility layouts, pre-fabricated skids, and equipment.
  • Lead efforts to complete design documentation to support new compressor station design.
  • Evaluate existing standard designs for optimization opportunities.
  • Influence decisions that improve reliability and operability, reduce operating costs, and create a sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Utilize systems, processes, and support the subject matter expert to aid in decision making and potential project development.
  • Work with Project teams and Project Development on identified gathering compression candidate projects to support application of the GC-15 product line.
  • Collaborate with others within the COE and lead cross-functional teams to support facility standardization and product deliverable production
  • All duties are to be performed in accordance with Williams’s Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

     


Functional/Technical Competencies:

  • Have computer experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, and Excel Work products.
  • Knowledgeable in compression and pipeline design and analysis, familiar with industry standards, codes, practices and DOT pipeline safety regulations.
  • Knowledgeable in compression facility operations, construction, and design including piping design, separation, compression and dehydration.
  • Knowledgeable of production and pipeline system operations and design including gas measurement, flow and pressure control, and regulation.
  • Knowledgeable of the Williams Project Life Cycle process.
  • Possess ability to provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts.
  • Demonstrate ability to learn company specific software applications.
  • Any associate who drives a company or personal vehicle for Company business must possess a valid driver licenses and follow all guidelines that are outlined in the Company’s Fleet Policy.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, motivated and result-oriented.

Qualifications:

A Successful Candidate Will:

  • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
  • Have minimum of 8-12 years of experience in natural gas gathering, transmission and/or production.
  • Have 3-5 years facility design and construction experience in the oil and gas industry, but still acquiring higher level knowledge and capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both field employees and senior level staff.

 

 

A Successful Candidate May:

  • Possess a PE license preferred.
  • Have 5+ years in compressor station design, construction, and operations preferred.
  • Have previous field experience in pipeline/compression with a transmission, midstream, or E&P company preferred.
  • Possess Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) preferred.
