The Business Development Rep will perform NGL business development activity and be part of a team that will be responsible for developing and driving Williams’ overall NGL strategy. The position requires a thorough understanding of our business as well as the industry. The Business Development Rep will actively seek new business opportunities as well as to maximize the capacity of the current NGL assets to generate additional revenue. The position may be involved in up front development work and/or handle all aspects of small projects.  The position is responsible for negotiating agreements that have direct revenue implications. 




  • The main areas of responsibility and key activities of this role include:
    • the identification and qualification of new business opportunities generating leads and prospects,
    • structuring of the economics and understanding of value drivers of the transactions being developed,
    • the drafting and negotiating of definitive agreements,
    • working with a team to present recommendations to management based on the risks inherent in the project,
    • the ability to be action-oriented in developing and closing all the opportunities that meet financial hurdles and strategic fit within Williams, and
    • working with others for the successful transition or startup of the project or transaction.
  • Lead a team in developing Williams’ overall NGL strategy. This will require coordination across the organization and with all levels of management.
  • The position will also work closely with G&P commercial teams to ensure maximum NGL value within the processing agreements and provide support and serve as the NGL SME for broader Williams’ business development efforts.



  • BS Engineering, Business, Finance, or related; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in project development, business development, gas gathering and processing operations, and/or NGL experience. NGL experience preferred.
  • Proven success and experience conceptualizing viable commercial projects, developing the commercial framework with the counter-party, negotiating the commercial terms and conditions, driving closure of the definitive agreements, leading the deal team, and driving integration of the project.
  • Successful experience in prospect generation and prospect negotiation would benefit the candidate.

    Travel will be required and varies as the business dictates. Expect 10-35% on average.

    Position will be filled and paid at a level commensurate with experience.
