Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Asset Performance Engineer Sr. to join our workforce. The role will be located in Tulsa, OK at corporate headquarters. This position will be an engineering and operations resource within the Asset Performance and Benchmarking group. The primary responsibility of this role is to create and apply analytical tools and performance indicators which will optimize the value of Williams’ assets.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert on the various applications of the PI System
  • Lead technical initiatives/projects and coordinate key functions with internal and external technical resources
  • Create and maintain plant, pipeline and equipment performance analysis tools for the Operating Areas
  • Create and maintain various types of analysis templates for rotating and fixed equipment for Williams Subject Matter Experts
  • Create and maintain various types of environmental analysis and emission controls monitoring on Williams facilities for EH&S Subject Mater Experts
  • Lead efforts to improve operability, maintainability, and the reliability of existing assets
  • Create exception based reports to identify operating exceptions for various technical analysis created for equipment performance, gathering system performance and environmental compliance
  • Utilize the PI System in conjunction with predictive analytics and machine learning techniques to aid in the evaluation, justification and development of solutions to problems and/or opportunities
  • Understand and incorporate the economic drivers of the analytical tools and performance measures being developed
  • Present recommendations supported by sound engineering and operational efficiency and effectiveness that support Williams’ reliability targets
  • Ability to meet set deadlines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering
  • 10+ years of oil and gas engineering and operations experience, preferably in a pipeline, gathering system and/or plant environment; gas processing, NGL, or petrochemical plant experience will be highly valued
  • Possess a basic understanding of economics  
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate at various levels across organizational boundaries, and influence others without hierarchical authority

 

Valued skills include:

  • Experience with OSI/PI
  • Experience with SQL, ladder logic, advanced programming languages (C#, R, Python)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects, PowerPoint, and Excel Work products
