Seeking an IT Asset Management Analyst to support IT software management initiatives within our technology department specifically related to Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) processes. The person will work closely with the IT team, other resources, and the software vendor to ensure we maintain compliance with our agreements. The ideal candidate will have background working with vendors managing contracts and various types of license models in IT applications or infrastructure.

Expected Responsibilities:

  • Primary focal point for the software management program for Williams IT
  • Manage and negotiate audits related to IT software assets, including collecting asset information directly and indirectly, and leading audit efforts.
  • Identify and act on cost reduction opportunities.
  • Provide ad hoc reports to management as necessary.
  • Provide support on projects as necessary to meet IT goals and objectives.
  • Increase overall awareness of IT Software Asset Management processes to wider IT community
  • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned by manager.


Qualifications:

 

Required:

  • 3+ years’ experience in contract negotiations with emphasis on software
  • 6+ years’ experience in an IT Infrastructure or Applications support role
  • Experience managing multiple conflicting priorities
  • Working knowledge of project management process required
  • Superb customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of ITIL
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively achieving results within established timeframes with minimal supervision
  • Self-motivated, and highly focused
  • Skilled at partnering to resolve conflict and conduct effective negotiation
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Good analytical, planning, presentation, writing, and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with IT management, project managers, developers, and business analysts
  • Able to effectively communicate and display a professional, mature attitude in dealing with internal customers, management and personnel across the organization


Preferred:

  • Experience with large/complex software contracts in an enterprise class environment preferred
  • MS office suite, especially Word and Excel skills

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • IAITAM CSAM Certification preferred
  • ITIL v3 Foundations Certification preferred
