Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Engineer III to join our team at our Shreveport, LA location.  The primary responsibility of this role is to lead or support project teams and also provide engineering assistance for operating issues within existing facilities.  Projects will include pipeline expansions, metering facilities, and compressor and treating plant modifications. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project activities of third party consulting engineers, and contractors.
  • Participate in planning, engineering and design, construction, commissioning, and start-up of new and modified facilities and pipelines as the PM or PE.
  • Utilize computer modeling and data analysis to aid in the evaluation, justification, and development of solutions to operating problems and/or opportunities.
  • Provide recommendations that improve reliability and operability, reduce operating costs, and create a sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Prepare project plans including cost and schedule development.
  • Participate in PHA’s

 

Functional/Technical Competencies:

  • Have computer experience with MS Office products and Promax. Experience with iPRISM and Synergi is a plus.
  • Perform multiple tasks and projects at the same time and adjust as priorities change
  • Have some understanding of PSM and related compliance requirements
  • Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Possess the ability to mentor others through guidance on planning, scheduling, and engineering subjects.
  • Have the motivation and ability to improve existing processes.

Qualifications:

A Successful Candidate Will:

  • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Have 5 years of engineering experience in the oil and gas industry and the desire to acquire additional knowledge and experience in a fast paced, dynamic and growing area. 
  • Have experience in pipeline, compressor, or treating operations.
  • Have experience with project engineering, design, construction and commissioning of natural gas pipelines, treating and dehydration facilities, and applicable industry codes, standards and regulations.  
  • Have excellent oral and written skills, the ability to organize, coordinate and negotiate solutions as well as skills in computer applications.
