Responsibilities may include:

  • Design low pressure gas gathering systems according to ASME B31.8 and Company standards, including permitted road crossings, HDD bores, designing valve sites, and generating construction bid packages.
  • Provide technical support to all functional departments, as part of troubleshooting, regulatory compliance, and optimization, during routine operations, start up and facility outages.
  • Prepare design and construction packages, including basis of design, process flow diagrams, material and energy balance, equipment list, as well as initial project justifications and economic analyses.
  • Design of brown-field gas compression facility projects to meet customer’s demand and improve safety and reliability of existing assets while reducing operational expenses.
  • Serve as a technical representative for equipment sizing and calculations, equipment datasheets, piping and instrumentation diagrams, material selection, alarm and trip settings, relief studies, vendor data reviews, and overall coordination of process design inputs from other disciplines.
  • Work with operations to optimize plant performance, trouble-shoot issues, and reduce operational expenses.
  • Prepare and coordinate studies in the field to develop, test and implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with new technology selection and implementation.
  • Lead PSSR’s and C&E validations prior to project commissioning.
  • Participate in PHAs, LOPAs, alarm management studies, and other PSM programs.
  • Lead efforts and project teams to improve operability, maintainability, and reliability of existing assets.

 

Functional/Technical Competencies:

  • Knowledgeable in design, operation, and analysis of pipeline, compression, dehydration, and gas conditioning processes.
  • Familiar with industry standards, codes, practices, DOT pipeline safety regulations, and Process Safety Management.
  • Possess the ability to manage multiple complex projects with a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Possess the ability to mentor others through technical training and guidance.
  • Have the motivation and ability to improve existing processes.
  • Understand the economic drivers of opportunities being developed and incorporates them into optimized facility designs that maximize the economic value added over the life of the asset.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, motivated, and results-oriented.
  • Have proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Visio.

                                                                            

Qualifications:

A Successful Candidate Will:

  • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
  • Have minimum of 8-15 years of engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in low pressure gathering systems and compression facilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with both field employees and senior level staff.

 

A Successful Candidate May:

  • Possess a PE license.
  • Have design and operations experience in amine treating and sour and/or rich gas gathering.
