Engineer III

 Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Engineer III to join our Project Development group in Pittsburgh, PA. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead project teams in developing and maintaining pipeline system hydraulic models using both steady state and transient flow simulation techniques to analyze and design additional facilities required for expansion projects.


* Participate in commercial development activities including conceptual definition, proposals, scoping, and customer presentations.

* Translate volume forecast for customer service needs and internal stakeholders.

* Lead efforts and project teams to improve operability, maintainability, and reliability of existing assets.

* Participate in planning of new and modified facilities.

* Utilize computer modeling and data analysis tolls to aid in the evaluation, justification, and development of solutions to problems and/or opportunities.

* Influence decisions that improve reliability and operability, reduce operating costs, and create a sustainable competitive advantage.

* Utilize systems, processes, and support the project developer to aid in decision making and potential project development.

* Perform initial scoping of natural gas pipelines, compressor stations, meter stations, and other related facilities.

* Develop new application tools, facilitate improvements in our design modeling philosophies, and provide training and support to enhance the organization’s capabilities as it relates to multiphase hydraulic modeling.

A Successful Candidate Will:

* Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.

* Have minimum 3-5 years of engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, but still acquiring higher level knowledge and capabilities.

* Have experience in Flow Assurance including working with Pipesim, OLGA, or equivalent flow assurance software.

* Have experience in Steady State and Transient Gas Analysis including work with SynerGee or equivalent Gas Hydraulic Modeling Software.
