John Seldenrust, Sr Vice President – Engineering Services

Our organization is seeking an energetic engineer to join our talented workforce.   This position will be a part of the Engineering Services team based in Pittsburgh, PA.  The primary responsibility of this role is to lead project teams and also provide engineering support for project teams on capital projects and modifications to existing facilities.  Projects may include pipeline expansions, meter stations, compressor facility modifications, and processing plant modifications. 



  • Lead engineering design, scope refinement, cost estimating, development of project design specifications, and support construction.
  • Oversee project activities of third party project managers, consulting engineers, construction inspectors, and contractors.
  • Translate project plans into coherent, credible, realistic project schedules and budgets
  • Provide technical support to all functional departments, as part of early design, regulatory compliance, front end planning, and project execution, throughout the project life cycle.
  • Lead efforts and project to improve operability, maintainability, and reliability of existing assets.
  • Participate in front end engineering and planning, execution, commissioning, and start-up of new and modified facilities.   
  • Utilize computer modeling and data analysis tools to aid in the evaluation, justification, and development of solutions to problems and/or opportunities.
  • Utilize systems & processes, and support the subject matter expert to aid in decision making and potential project development.
  • Prepare and provide schedule and budget progress, risk reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis.

A Successful Candidate Will:

  • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Have 5+ years of engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, but still acquiring higher level knowledge and capabilities.
  • Have experience in pipeline, compressor, and processing operations.
  • Have experience with project engineering, construction and commissioning of natural gas pipelines, processing facilities, or related equipment.
  • Have the ability to collaborate with operations technicians, safety specialists, and other frontline employees to identify and improve operational conditions.
  • Excellent oral and written skills, the ability to organize, coordinate and negotiate solutions as well as skills in computer applications.
  • PE license preferred
