Our Organization is seeking a highly skilled Measurement Operation Technician to be part of our Parachute, CO office.  As a Measurement Operation Technician at Williams, the successful candidate will be responsible for measurement data collection, data validation and accuracy.                       

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operate, test, repair, calibrate and install gas measurement, flow control, pressure control and gas quality analytical equipment
  • Accurately calibrate and trouble shoot gas chromatographs
  • Utilize Maximo to ensure the base line maintenance, reoccurring maintenance and condition based maintenance practices are consistently executed. Consistently demonstrate proficiency in teamwork, interpersonal, communication and mentoring skills
  • Assure safe operations of facilities through the implementation of best practices and improved maintenance management
  • Required to work on Natural Gas Measurement Meters such as orifice, ultrasonic and others along with associated measurement or control devices according to the policies and procedures as specified in the Williams Integrated Management System
  • Must understand the operating principles of orifice, positive displacement, ultrasonic and associated equipment, and be able to calculate gas flows
  • Comply with all FERC, DOT and OSHA guidelines, rules and regulations
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to peers and Operation Technicians in Instrumentation, Measurement, Control Loops and Gas Chromatographs
  • Position requires on-call, after hour’s response and limited overnight travel.  Must reside 60 minutes or less from work location due to On-Call duties

 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least three (3) years of experience with Measurement and/or operations
  • Experience with gas and liquid product measurement, handling and quality including volumetric and mass measurement
  • Have knowledge and experience in theory, operation and troubleshooting the components that make up a volumetric and mass measurement metering system and design that meets industry standards
  • Experience with both electronic and pneumatic controls equipment
  • Basic PLC or industrial automation experience with skills in the maintaining of Transmitters, RTUS and other Supervisory, Control or SCADA type equipment
  • High level of knowledge and experience with orifice, coriolis, ultrasonic and positive displacement meters including tank measurement, proving systems and flow computers
  • Ability to tract the measurement data processes
  • Be willing to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, and weekend shifts
  • Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Be team oriented, and internal and external customer focused

 

Preferred:

  • Possess an Associate's or two-year technical school degree in mechanical, electronic, instrumentation or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrate experience with Programmable Logic, Controller Troubleshooting Maintenance, and Control Programming.
