Our Organization is seeking a highly skilled I&E Technician to be a part of our Opal Plant gas processing facility. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Apply technical skills and aptitude and technical leadership in the following areas:  Electrical Switchgear, Instrumentation, Measurement, Motor Controls, Control Loops, Distributive Control Systems, Allen Bradley PLCs, AC electrical systems and DC electrical systems  
  • Coordinate with operations to perform routine maintenance activities with instrumentation, process controls and electrical systems
  • Utilize the Maximo Maintenance Management System to ensure base line maintenance, reoccurring maintenance and condition based maintenance practices are consistently executed
  • Consistently demonstrate proficiency in teamwork, interpersonal communications and mentoring skills.
  • Assure safe operations of facilities through the implementation of best practices and full adherence to Williams’ safety programs
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems on a variety of equipment including:  Electric Motors, Centrifugal Pumps, Gas Fired Turbines, Control Valves, Valve Actuators, Fired Heaters, Boilers and VFD’s
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems including:  Low and Medium Voltage, Protective Relaying and Switchgears, Motors, Motor Starters, Heat Trace and Generators
  • Remove, repair, calibrate and reinstall different types and brands of sensing elements for flow, temperature, pressure and level measurement
  • Test, calibrate and validate process safety devices and equipment (gas detectors, fire detectors, burner management systems)

 

Qualifications:

 

A Successful Candidate Must

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered)
  • Have at least three (3) or more years’ related experience
  • Be willing to work and handle on-call duties for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have experience with AC electrical systems and possess the basic skills to become a  Qualified Electrical Employee

     

Qualifications:

 

A Successful Candidates May

  • Possess an Associate's or two-year technical school degree in electronics, instrumentation or related field preferred
  • Have troubleshooting and programming experience with Allen Bradley PLC-5, SLC 500, CLX 500 and Yokogawa distributive control systems
  • Maintain natural gas and natural gas liquids chromatographs
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) including batteries and chargers
