Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Supervisor of Engineering to join our workforce. This role will lead a diverse group of engineers and engineering related Tech Services functions primarily supporting our gas gathering facilities and pipelines. This will include managing franchise capital, collaborating with internal and external groups, system engineering programs, planning and facility commissioning.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the Tech Services engineering team distributing workload and supporting efforts to improve operability, maintainability, and reliability of existing assets within Operations.
  • Oversees tactical project activities through collaboration with Engineering Services project managers, consulting engineers, construction inspectors, and contractors to ensure engineering deliverables are accurate and on time.
  • Collaborates widely offering technical support to all functional departments and initiatives to include Standards Steering Committees (WIMS), Operations through operating procedures support and as part of troubleshooting, construction through work plan reviews, environmental health and safety, regulatory compliance, optimization, start-up, and turnaround teams.
  • Executes maintenance capex budget, efficiency budget, and project prioritization efforts.
  • Utilizes developed process workflows, operational performance data, and the support of subject matter experts to aid in decision making, project justification, and potential project development.
  • Participates in planning, commissioning, and start-up of greenfield facilities and brownfield expansions.
  • Partakes in facility engineering reviews, design reviews, Process Hazard Analysis, Layer of Protection Analysis, model reviews, PSM audits, etc.
  • Contributes to Management of Change review huddles as the technical mechanical review role and to ensure consistency across MOC’s for quality.

 

 Functional/Technical Competencies:

  • The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of natural gas gathering facilities, pipelines, and regulation facilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Strong financial decision making abilities.
  • Advanced computer experience with Microsoft Office, with some level of exposure to Promax, IPRSM, SynerGEE, AutoCAD, and Pipeline Toolbox.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects with a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to mentor others through technical training and guidance on planning, scheduling, and engineering subjects.
  • Motivation and ability to improve existing processes through the use of lean critical thinking skills.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or other technical field.
  • At least 6 years engineering experience; leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in several of the following areas: Front-line supervision, Operations, Design, Project Management, Business Development, Construction, and Environmental.
