Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and operational tasks with all natural gas process related equipment, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Maintain and operate Allen Bradley PLC systems
  • Maintain and operate power distribution, AC motors, and all utility support systems (120V – 6.9kV) in a reliable, safe, and efficient manner, in accordance with Williams’ polices, practices, and standards
  • Properly maintain and complete maintenance records, service reports, and other required documents as required
  • Maintain and operate glycol dehydration, reciprocating compressors
  • Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment, vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Attend safety and technical training while progressing in the I&E Operations Technician development process
  • Follow and adhere to Williams’ System Integrity Plan for all regulatory requirements and company core values and beliefs
  • Participate in various teams and/or team initiatives
  • Perform a wide range of tasks associated with the natural gas industry

 

Qualifications:

Required

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least five (5) years I&E experience and skill base
  • Must be able to work on on-call  
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and adequate PC skills
  • Possess a valid state driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Ability to lift fifty (50+) pounds unassisted
  • Ability to obtain medical certification to wear full face respirators, work outdoors, and be able to climb ladders and stairs with occasional work or elevated equipment
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and be able to safely perform tasks and make decisions with minimum supervision
  • Possess internal and external customer focused skills, while encouraging a stable and productive partnership with each
  • Be initiative driven, dependable, and have the desire to develop increasing levels of leadership skills

     

    Preferred

  • Possess an Associates’ Degree and/or Technical Certificate
  • Previous experience in the electrical trade and/or facility maintenance industry
  • Previous experience in an environment with gas-plant operations, gas compression, and/or liquid or gas gathering processes
