Williams is a premier developer and operator of energy infrastructure in North America; one of the top gathering and processing companies in the country and a major interstate transporter of natural gas.

Our organization is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our workforce at our North Canton, Ohio, location.  The primary responsibility of this role is to provide overall technical support for the development of projects and coordinate functions with internal and external technical resources to meet project requirements for design functionality, schedule, and cost.



  • Manages project engineering tasks, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule goals are met.
  • Lead efforts and project teams to improve operability, maintainability, and reliability of existing assets.
  • Interface with consulting engineers, internal engineering, drafting, purchasing, inspection, contracts, planning, and operations personnel as required for project needs. 
  • Participate in planning, engineering and design, construction, commissioning, and start-up of new and modified facilities and pipelines.
  • Utilize computer modeling and data analysis tools to aid in the evaluation, justification, and development of solutions to problems and/or opportunities.
  • Influence decisions that improve reliability and operability, reduce operating costs, and create a sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Utilize systems, processes, and support the subject matter expert to aid in decision making and potential project development.
  • Translate project plans into coherent, credible, realistic project schedules.
  • Prepare and provide schedule progress and risk reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis.

  • Have computer experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects, PowerPoint, and Excel Work products.

A Successful Candidate Will:

  • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or other technical field.
  • Have minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, but still acquiring higher level knowledge and capabilities.
  • Have experience with project engineering, construction and commissioning of natural gas pipelines, processing facilities, or related equipment.


A Successful Candidate May:

  • Possess a PMP certification
  • Possess a PE license.



Locally with occasional overnight trips.
