The supervisor of operations ORSH Ohio Valley Midstream manages the day-to-day field operations various natural gas compression, dehydration and liquids processing facilities in the Moundsville area of West Virginia. Responsible for the safe and effective production of natural gas from the well head to the intrastate pipeline. Sets strategic direction and communicates company policy and formalizes procedures to employees. Initiates or reviews decisions concerning operating procedures. Advises management of operating difficulties and recommends remedial measures.

  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers to recognize and maximize potential opportunities
  • Perform all work in strict accordance with environment, health, and safety policies and procedures: Accountable for maintaining a safe and orderly work environment; builds safety plans into all activities, checks work, maintains records and holds employees accountable for safe operations. Is a consistent and regular presence at work sites monitoring and auditing critical safety procedures such as lock out/tag out and providing immediate and regular feedback.  Manages risk and incident management programs for assigned area.
  • Demonstrate Williams’ leadership standards, in word and action:   Manage workforce planning and career development activities for Operations employees. Delivers informal feedback regularly and formal reviews as required by company policy. Assists employees with career development by providing input and guidance.
  • Ensure employees are adequately trained to company procedures and Process Safety Management to identify hazards and safely carry out duties as required.
  • Develop O&M expense plan and forecasts, and conduct regular operating cost analysis to aid in the understanding and management of operating cost.
  • Work closely with the existing Leadership Team to plan and implement both short and long range operational goals
  • Ensure that a collaborative environment exists where information is readily shared within and outside of the local operating group.  Serve as a primary contact point for Business Development, Commercial Development and Operations as needs arise.  Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and potential customers. Developing strong relationships throughout the community and with key constituents.



  • Previously obtained a minimum of three (3) years experience as a supervisor or non-formal leadership role
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent two-year technical school degree
  • Have the ability to function effectively in team environments and build effective teams
  • Have good leadership and communication skills
  • Interacts effectively with customers, intrastate pipeline operators, landowners and contractors
  • Willingness and ability to work unsupervised, manage emergencies and act as supervisor on call rotations involving strong presence on nights and weekends
  • Utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and all necessary work management programs
  • Proficiency in understanding P&ID’s, Process Safety Management, DOT192 and Williams policies and procedures an absolute must
  • Must have excellent time management skills for self and members of his team; be well organized and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize varying daily task loads for safe, efficient and reliable operation of facilities
  • Ability to make decisions quickly drawing on past experiences, wisdom and sound judgment
  • Ability to support and direct facilities modifications through Management of Change processes and Williams procedures.



  • A Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Prior experience in a leadership and/or relevant technical experience in the area of responsibility preferred
  • Have prior success in the operation or maintenance of compression, gas gathering, dehydration, hydrocarbon liquids, either as a leader or in a hands-on role is preferred
  • Construction and inspection experience to permit and influence safety of brownfield construction
