Our organization is seeking a skilled Rotating Equipment Specialist for the Northeast Gathering & Processing Team – supporting rotating equipment in the northern West Virginia panhandle, southeastern Ohio, and the Moundsville, West Virginia area.  This role could be located in either Moundsville, WV or North Canton, OH.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify, determine and report factors as they relate to safe operations, including work practices, operating limits and/or other risks associated with field of specialty.
  • Develop and apply optimization techniques to identify and correct ideas, equipment problems, and/or inefficiencies.
  • Determine optimal compression operating mode on a real-time basis, and make adjustments as needed to achieve optimum state.
  • Gather and analyze compression performance from both past and present data to develop recommendations for improving performance.
  • Interacts with Central Services, Engineering Services, and Safety & Operational Discipline as required to ensure safe, reliable operation, and maintenance practices.
  • Provide hands-on interaction with Operations Technicians and company contractors to provide and identify job training and troubleshooting areas.
  • Provide technical specifications and requirements to outside contractors and vendors
  • Work with peers and leaders to ensure that priorities between system operation and O&M teams are aligned.
  • Work with peers and leaders to ensure that reliability, revenue, and cost control are appropriately weighed in equipment analysis and expenditures.
  • Ensure that compression is optimized every day with regard to area of expertise and development of operational modeling tools that assist in 1) daily optimization of system and 2) planning for future state.
  • Understand customer needs and contractual requirements and ensure both are integrated into compression operations.
  • As the result of hands-on interaction with personnel, identifies and communicates to leadership and ultimately the training department courses and training needs that complement safe and optimal operations in area of expertise.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in gathering, processing, maintenance, and compression
  • Understand safety concepts in gas gathering, processing and compression activities as they relate to area of specialty
  • Understand organization roles and complex systems to influence change and identify opportunities to optimize financial performance
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills with experience in Microsoft Applications and specialty software and must be willing to learn Williams’ maintenance management program
  • Self-motivated with a willingness and ability to work unsupervised
  • Leadership skills and good communications skills (written and verbal)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or two-year technical degree in mechanical, mechanical engineering, electronics, or related field
  • Experience with Windrock engine analyzers and software.
  • Experience with vibration monitoring equipment and software.
  • Experience with CAT 3500 and 3600 series natural gas engines.
  • Experience with Ariel natural gas compressors.
  • Ability to use and employ manufacturers, vendors and specialty software in area of expertise.
