Operations Tech II (I&E)

 

Our Organization is seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation & Electrical Operations Technician II to be part of the Oak Grove plant. As an Instrumentation & Electrical Operations Technician at Williams, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operations, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of natural gas processing plant equipment.

 

  • Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and operational tasks with all natural gas process related equipment, instrumentation, and control systems on the following: Cryogenic Processing, Fractionation Plant, Reciprocating Compressors, Amine Treating Systems, Water Treatment, Measurement, Yokogawa DCS, Allen Bradley PLC’s, Gas Chromatographs, Safety Devices, Power Distribution, AC Motors, and all Utility Support Systems
  • Properly maintain and complete maintenance records, service reports, and other required documents as required
  • Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment, vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Attend safety and technical training while progressing in the I&E Operations Technician development process
  • Maintain and operate power distribution, AC motors, and all utility support systems in a reliable, safe, and efficient manner, in accordance with Williams’ policies, practices, and standards
  • Participate in various teams and/or team initiatives
  • Perform a wide range of tasks associated with the natural gas industry
  • Coordinate maintenance activities on electrical, instrumentation and control systems
  • Work independently with minimal supervision

Regularly perform a wide spectrum of non-routine, moderate to high-complexity assignments requiring technical evaluation, innovation and judgment.

 

Qualifications:

 

Basic/Required:

  • Hold a minimum total of two (2) year experience as an Instrumentation & Electrical Operations Technician
  • Obtain a minimum of two (2) years experience in the natural gas industry or related field
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrate the ability to work under limited supervision
  • Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • Have a valid State Operators Driving License and excellent driving record
  • Be willing to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, and weekend shifts
  • Possess adequate communication skills
  • Ability to carry and lift items that can weigh 50lbs or more
  • Team Orientated, and the ability to work well with others
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and initiative skills

 

Preferred:

  • Possess an Associate’s Degree
  • Have previous experience in the mechanical and/or maintenance industry
  • Experience with gas-plant operations, gas compression, and/or liquid or gas gathering processes
  • Obtain a Journeyman, Electrical License, or equivalent

**This position will be filled at a level commensurate with skills and experience**
