The Asset Integrity Specialist will provide technical support for internal and external corrosion control of pipelines, including plants and facilities that are used for either gathering processing, or transporting natural gas or liquid products from the producers to the customers.  The pipeline and plant/facility corrosion is controlled by working with a team of Asset Integrity Specialists to monitor external and internal corrosion, and support chemical treatments or suggest maintenance pigging programs, which are necessary to protect the pipelines and plants.  It is desirable that the successful candidate have experience but not necessary in the areas of internal/external corrosion control, pipeline design, construction, maintenance, and integrity testing.  The successful candidate will work with Asset Integrity Specialists and support Operations by preparing and implementing practical, cost-effective internal and external corrosion control programs and activities for the gathering systems, plants/facilities, and transmission lines located in the Northeast Operating Area (Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, and West Virginia).



  • Coordinate and assist with the internal corrosion control program including working with other Asset Integrity Specialists, chemical suppliers, operations, engineering, and business development to define cleaning, chemical treating, and monitoring requirements for pipeline systems as well as plants/facilities.
  • Assist with the external corrosion control program.  This includes working with the Pipeline Compliance System (PCS) database, which is used for external corrosion control, as well as assisting contractors, operations and engineering personnel in corrosion control practices. 
  • Maintain and update records related to corrosion control.




  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • NACE certification as a CP 1 Tester or ability to achieve within 1 year
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop and implement process management methodologies while incorporating the same into O & M Manuals, writing standards, process quality assurance and developing metrics.


  • Associates Degree or higher in Engineering preferred but not necessary, other experience may also qualify.
  • Working knowledge of CFR Parts 192 Natural Gas and 195 Liquid Pipeline Regulations
