Our Organization is seeking a skilled Operation Technician to be part of our Susquehanna Supply Hub team based in Kingsley, PA.  As an Operation Technician at Williams, the successful candidate will have experience or skills in some or many of the following areas: instrumentation, measurement, controls, electrical, electronics, mechanical maintenance, gas compressions, or gas-plant operations.

 
Responsibilities:

  • Safety is the highest priority at Williams, and a person's commitment to safe operations is a requirement for all applicants.  The ideal candidate will actively participate in safety meetings and develop knowledge in all company safety policies and industry safety standards.
  • Operational Discipline is expected and must be incorporated while completing all tasks.
  • Maintain gathering facilities, perform maintenance and repairs on compressors, engines, turbines, dehydration equipment, measurement equipment, pipeline equipment and right-of-ways, and all administrative functions associated with these duties.
  • Support mechanical and instrumentation control activities associated with turbines, compressors, and measurement systems to ensure balances are within the established limits.
  • Work independently under periodic supervision for highly complex and non-routine tasks.
  • Perform testing and calibration of measurement equipment with flow computers and transmitters.
  • Regularly perform a wide spectrum of non-routine, moderate to high-complexity assignments requiring technical evaluation.
  • Completing maintenance records, service reports and other required documents in a maintenance data base system.
  • Ability to apply fundamental economic evaluations and present recommendations.
  • Maintain confidentialities while demonstrating professional conduct and business ethics.
  • Consistently display proficiency in teamwork, interpersonal and mentoring skills.
  • Readily identify, promptly act upon or efficiently organize any efforts needed to address safety and operational efficiencies, and protection of community, personnel, environment and assets.

 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years in energy industry or 3 years relevant experience (instrument, electrical, mechanical)
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • Ability to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights and weekend shifts
  • Valid State Operators Driving License and excellent driving record
  • Ability to work in extremely hot and cold temperatures, loud noises and enclosed spaces
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with William’s employees, contractors and landowners
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for long periods of time
  • Ability to work at elevated levels from man lifts or ladders with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Willingness to accurately operate 4X4 vehicles
  • Ability to carry and lift items that can weigh 50 lbs. or more
  • Must reside within 50 miles of the Central Compressor Station (Kingsley, PA)


Preferred:

  • Vo-Tech Certification or Associates’ degree in Instrumentation, Controls Technology, Electronics or Mechanical
  • Midstream gathering and processing experience
