Williams, including its assets held through Williams Partners L.P. Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Measurement Data Specialist to be a part of our Houston, Texas team. The Measurement Data Specialist will ensure accurate and timely gas measurement data, by monitoring gas measurement activities, communicating proactively with both internal and external customers, and work to resolve any relevant gas measurement issues. 



  • Work in a safe, ethical, and responsible manner
  • Analyze and trend Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM) information to ensure accuracy with the volume calculation
  • Ensure accurate configuration with the Flow Computers & resolve problems and variations
  • Analyze gas balance reports to identify potential gas measurement errors, and take actions to solve the errors
  • Understand how measurement data compares and is used by other departments and systems to resolve differences and answer request
  • Assist with special projects such as: Detailed Measurement Audits, Loss and Unaccounted for Gas, Data Requests, Etc…
  • Perform advanced gas volume estimates and/or corrections (covering several days with no check measurement)
  • Notify field measurement personnel of suspected problems and follow through the resolution of issues
  • Maintain meter/station data and validation rules within the Gas Measurement System
  • Provide analytical support to field personnel on Flow Computers, Communication Devices, Gas Chromatographs, and other related gas measurement equipment
  • Ensure all work adheres to necessary regulations and requirements (Example: SOX Compliance, Transco Tariff, Industry Standards, Company SOP’s, Etc).



  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong internal and external customer mindset and skill set
  • Must be detailed oriented, well organized, and able to adapt quickly and positively to changing priorities
  • Able and willing to act as informal resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Able to work productively and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Clear understanding of Williams and the oil and gas industry
  • Able to work with limited supervision
  • Intermediate level of computer skills utilizing Microsoft Applications and other proprietary computer programs within Williams
  • Prior Measurement related experience is preferred, but not required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience a plus (Preferred)
