IT Analyst IV Role Description

  • Software Development – Serve as a software architect, capable of designing and developing multiple software initiatives to reduce technical complexity.
  • Experience in full SDLC methodology.
  • Support of IT initiatives by adding value to work processes and projects through the effective use of technical knowledge, specialized skills, and expertise.
  • Mentor and coach teams for design and development best practices
  • Project Management - Skilled at managing multiple simultaneous projects in a matrixed-organization. 
  • Work with business users to identify and define requirements.
  • Take broad perspective to identify innovative solutions based on an understanding of the business requirements that fit within an enterprise environment.
  • Lead projects from requirements gathering through implementation with little/no supervision.
  • Provide quality functional and technical documentation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Able to install and configure software in UNIX environment.


Job Qualifications/Technology Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science required (Masters degree would be a plus)
  • Strong technical background and excellent IT skills
  • Java programming experience in business application development (8 years Minimum)
  • 8+ years of general UNIX experience (Red Hat Linux preferred)
  • Understand UNIX process, security, and user management model.
  • Proficient in UNIX scripting languages using regular expressions.
  • General understanding of infrastructure and interdependencies – Network, Storage, Servers, and Database
  • SQL development (8 years Minimum)
  • Angular/JavaScript Experience preferred
  • Experience with Enterprise level software design
  • Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work in cooperative team environments
  • Ability to work effectively on tight deadlines as necessary
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers.
