Our organization is seeking a highly-motivated GIS student to be a part of our Summer Internship Program. You will develop GIS mapping and analysis skills as a part of a large GIS team of professionals supporting the entire pipeline business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create maps for gas transmission and midstream business needs.
  • Analyze business information using spatial tools.
  • Create and manage GIS data to support pipeline right of way acquisition and due diligence.
  • Develop a process for collecting and cataloguing Williams’ aerial imagery datasets.
  • Support the team in creating and maintaining raster datasets for our Pipeline Router application.
  • Support the Pipeline Safety department through structure mapping and special projects.

 

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography or a related field (Geology, Environmental Sustainability, Meteorology, etc)
  • Completed coursework in GIS and/or Remote Sensing
  • Ability to relocate to Tulsa for the summer
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Possess the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Cartographic experience using ArcMap version 9 or later
  • Editing shape and attribute data using ArcGIS
  • Experience creating personal or file geodatabases
  • Ability to work independently, within a team, and in a corporate environment.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • At least one summer remaining prior to graduation
