Our organization is seeking a skilled engineer to join our workforce in our Channelview, TX location.  As a skilled area engineer you will be able to apply the conceptual of theories, principals, and concepts. You will deepen your knowledge of the company and customers while managing tactical projects and providing technical input in the operations of Williams’ Purity Pipelines assets.



  • Participate in planning, commissioning, and start-up of new and modified facilities.
  • Create data sheets and specifications for equipment.
  • Develop basic engineering packages for projects including plot plans, pipeline route map, process flow diagram (PFD), piping and instrument diagram (P&ID), electric one line diagram, and major equipment list. Perform work in accordance with Williams’ standards including Project Life Cycle and the System Integrity Plan and/or Williams Integrated Management System.
  • Create and oversee all phases of detailed design when consultant engineering firms are utilized.
  • Utilize systems, processes, and Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to aid in decision making and potential project development.
  • Work with peers and leaders to ensure that priorities with system operations and area goals are met.
  • Understand industry standards, applicable regulatory codes and requirements, and company standards.
  • Plan, communicate, and execute in accordance with expense and capital forecasting.
  • Perform a wide spectrum of moderately difficult assignments requiring technical evaluation, innovation, and judgement.  Apply knowledge and experience to solve complex problems.


     Functional/Technical Competencies:

  • Have computer experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects, PowerPoint, and Excel Work products.
  • Be able to learn additional software products.

    A Successful Candidate Will:

  • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
  • Have 2-4 years experience in engineering related field.
  • Understand complex systems and be able to identify potential areas of operational improvement.
  • Demonstrate experience working in a team environment.


    A Successful Candidate May:

  • Have experience with liquids handling, gas gathering and processing projects.
  • Experience in gathering and/or transportation services.
  • Chemicals handling, transportation, and/or pipeline experience.
  • Understand and use engineering modeling applications and economic evaluation tools.
  • Have an Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
