The Construction Contract Mgt Staff is responsible for the development and execution of contracts for services and goods in furtherance of large scale engineering and construction projects.  The Construction Contract Mgt Staff is responsible for direct negotiations with bidders and ensuring the contracts are executed in accordance with Williams corporate delegation of authority guidelines.  Post-execution, this position is responsible to assist the Project Management Team in the management, upkeep and close-out of contracts through the contract life cycle.  The role acts as interface between the team and the appropriate Williams business groups to ensure their interests are represented during negotiations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and managing Invitation to Bid (ITB) documents
  • Experience in negotiation of large service and procurement contracts
  • Knowledge and experience in negotiation of contractual terms and conditions.
  • Knowledge and experience in the negotiation and resolution of contract change orders.
  • Understanding of Offshore Construction equipment and offshore construction methods.
  • Above average communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Should be well organized and focused capable of achieving project goals and managing incentives to deliver the project (on time and on budget).
  • Responsible to interface with the Legal department to ensure contract clarifications and qualifications are properly negotiated and endorsed by Williams legal department. 
  • Responsible to ensure contract workflow complies with Company bidding and contracting policies. 
  • Provide professional support, for complex engineering and construction projects to maximize the value of the project to Williams.  

 

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in negotiation and management of offshore contracts or large scale construction contracts.
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent.
  • Legal Degree preferred

 

Williams will relocate if required.
