Our organization is seeking an energetic engineer to join our talented workforce.   This position will be a part of the Technical Services team based in Connellsville, PA.   The role of a technical services engineer is to participate in the optimization of gas gathering systems, a broad range of gas gathering, compression, and dehydration applications so that the assets become more reliable, safe, and efficient.  This engineer would provide daily engineering support and guidance, optimize existing assets, support compliance and process safety efforts, and scope/execute efficiency and maintenance projects.

 

The Ohio River Supply Hub business area gathers and transports natural gas and condensate via pipelines, recovers NGL from natural gas through cryogenic process, and fractionates NGL into purity product.

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Participate in planning, commissioning, and start-up of new and modified facilities.
  • Develop basic engineering packages for projects including plot plans, pipeline route map, process flow diagram (PFD), piping and instrument diagram (P&ID), electric one line diagram, and major equipment list. Perform work in accordance with Williams’ standards including Project Life Cycle and WIMS.
  • Bid engineering and construction services (survey, civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, piping, controls) and equipment vendor selections.
  • Work with peers and leaders to ensure that priorities with system operations and area goals are met.
  • Understand industry standards, applicable regulatory codes and requirements, and company standards.
  • Plan, communicate, and execute projects in accordance with expense and capital forecasting.
  • Work seamlessly with operations, maintenance, and engineering & construction to safely operate, maintain, optimize, and improve pipeline and compressor facilities.
  • Coordinate efforts to improve compressor station and pipeline facility efficiencies and reduce operating costs.
  • Provide technical input to the planning and implementation of compressor and pipeline maintenance projects.
  • Assist in troubleshooting, analysis, and engineering modeling support for gathering systems and compressor stations.

Qualifications:

A Successful Candidate Will:

  • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
  • Have minimum 1 year experience in oil and gas industry, but still acquiring higher level knowledge and capabilities.
  • The successful candidate would have knowledge of gathering systems and gas processing.
  • Have working knowledge in two of the following areas: Operations, Design, Business Development, Construction, or Environmental.
  • Have technical knowledge and experience around equipment such as rotating equipment, heat exchangers, process & gathering pipe, direct fired heater, process control and instrumentation, electrical power, pressurized vessel.
  • Preferred candidate will have an understanding of industry and operating requirements around Oil & Gas Industry, and applicable codes, standards and regulations.

 

 

 A Successful Candidate May:

  • Understand and use engineering modeling applications and economic evaluation tools.
  • Have an Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
