Responsibilities

  • Champion Safe operation and maintenance of all processing plant instrumentation, controls and electrical systems.
  • Install, configure, program, troubleshoot, maintain and optimize all plant Allen Bradley Control Logix Systems
  • Install, configure, program, troubleshoot, maintain and optimize all plant Wonderware HMI Systems
  • Install, configure, program, troubleshoot, maintain and optimize all plant Electrical Power Distribution Systems, Protective Relays, Breakers, Meters, Disconnects, Substations, and Transformers.
  • Install, configure, program, troubleshoot, maintain and optimize all plant Motor Drive Systems, Motors, Starters, Soft Starts, VFDs, and Motor Control Centers.
  • Install, configure, program, troubleshoot, maintain and optimize all electrical subsystems including lighting, heat trace, HVAC, and all other ancillaries.
  • Properly maintain and complete maintenance records, service reports, and other required documents as required within the Maximo CMMS.
  • Perform maintenance and operations tasks on all natural gas equipment, instrumentation and control systems
  • Maintain and operate cryogenic processing, fractionation plant, reciprocating, screw and centrifugal compressors.
  • Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment, vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Attend safety and technical training while progressing in the I&E Operations Technician development process
  • Follow and adhere to Williams’ System Integrity Plan for all regulatory requirements and company core values and beliefs
  • Participate in various teams and/or team initiatives
  • Perform a wide range of tasks associated with the natural gas industry
  • Regularly makes independent decisions and is responsible for coaching others to do the same
  • Identify and execute on optimization opportunities to increase system efficiency and reliability. Manage projects within the framework of Williams Project Lifecycle.
  • Commission and start-up of all new and modified plant instrumentation controls and electrical systems.

 

Qualifications

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Possess an Associates’ Degree, Technical Certificate, or two (2) years of related experience is preferred.
  • Requires at least three (3) years I&E experience and skill base.
  • Previous experience in the mechanical and/or maintenance industry is a plus.
  • Must be able to work on rotating, on-call, and night and weekend shifts.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and adequate PC skills.
  • Possess a good driving record, with the ability to lift fifty (50+) pounds unassisted.
  • Have worked in an environment with gas-plant operations, gas compression, and/or liquid or gas gathering processes is a plus.
  • Be able to obtain medical certification to wear full face respirators, work out doors, and be able to climb ladders and stairs with occasional work or elevated equipment.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and be able to safely perform tasks according to Williams Policy.
  • Possess internal and external customer focused skills, while encouraging a stable and productive partnership with each.
  • Be initiative driven, dependable, and have the desire to develop increasing levels of leadership.
