Our Organization is seeking a highly skilled I&E Operations Technician to be part of our Ohio Valley Midstream, Fort Beeler location. As a Technician III at Williams, the successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, inspection, repair and maintenance on the selected natural gas treating systems and compressor stations.



  • Perform maintenance and operational tasks with all natural gas process related equipment, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Maintain and operate Allen Bradley PLC systems
  • Maintain and operate power distribution, AC motors, and all utility support systems (120V – 16.8 kV) in a reliable, safe, and efficient manner, in accordance with Williams’ polices, practices, and standards
  • Properly maintain and complete maintenance records, service reports, and other required documents as required
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance checks and calibrations on BMS, UPS, reciprocating compressors, centrifugal compressors, turbo expanders, and a variety of other plant equipment.
  • Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment, vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Participate in data gathering, reporting functions, plant start-ups, plant shut downs, maintenance tasks and assist in justifying future projects
  • Attend various safety and technical training while progressing in the I&E Operations Technician development process
  • Follow and adhere to Williams’ Policies and Procedures for all regulatory requirements and company core values and beliefs
  • Participate in various teams and/or team initiatives
  • Perform a wide range of tasks associated with the natural gas industry
  • Work overtime, during nights, weekends and holidays


Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three (3) years I&E experience and skill base
  • Ability to work on on-call  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and adequate PC skills
  • Good driving record
  • Ability to lift fifty (50+) pounds unassisted
  • Ability to work outdoors and be able to climb ladders and stairs with occasional work or elevated equipment
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and abiity to safely perform tasks and make decisions with minimum supervision
  • Internal and external customer focused skills, while encouraging a stable and productive partnership with each
  • Initiative driven, dependable, and possess the desire to develop increasing levels of leadership skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates’ Degree and/or Technical Certificate
  • Previous experience in the electrical trade and/or facility maintenance industry
  • Previous experience in gas-plant operations, gas compression, and/or liquid or gas gathering processes.
