Williams is seeking a safety focused, highly motivated Operations Technician to join our Ohio River Supply Hub (ORSH) Processing and Fractionation Maintenance team in Cameron, West Virginia in Marshall County. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, compliant, reliable and efficient operations and maintenance of large scale gas processing and fractionation assets.



  • Safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation, controls, electrical, and network systems for processing and fractionation assets.
  • Enthusiastically and expeditiously train and qualify in the maintenance and troubleshooting of plant rotating equipment, piping systems, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and all other mechanical systems.
  • Manage change of facility mechanical systems to increase efficiency and functionality.
  • Create and execute on Work Plans and LOTO procedures.
  • Empower all employees to be safety leaders and to execute stop work authority.
  • Focus on maintaining a safe, secure, inclusive and motivating work environment by following WIMS procedures, policies, environmental regulations, and best practices.
  • Promote and participate in a culture of concern reporting, and continuous improvement with a focus on hazard recognition.
  • Drive to improve the efficiency and reduce the cost of operations.



  • Have the ability to function effectively in team environments and build effective teams.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, Maximo, and Oracle Business Apps.
  • Knowledge of process operations in gas processing or a similar industry
  • Strong understanding of maintenance processes including planning, scheduling, periodic maintenance, and condition-based maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of physical properties of natural gas and products.
  • Strong understanding and ability to install/maintain/troubleshoot rotating equipment including reciprocating compressors, centrifugal compressors, screw compressors, positive displacement pumps, centrifugal pumps, fans, and all other systems.
  • Understanding of vibration analysis and other types of condition monitoring.
  • Understanding of practices for machinery alignment.
  • Understanding and ability to install/maintain/troubleshoot pressurized piping systems.
  • Understanding of safe rigging and lifting practices.
  • Understanding and ability to install/maintain/troubleshoot pressure vessels, and distillation equipment. 
  • Understanding and ability to install/maintain/troubleshoot heat exchangers, air cooled exchangers.
  • Understanding and ability to install/maintain/troubleshoot fired heaters.
  • Strong understanding of energy isolation and LOTO principles.
  • Understanding and ability to interpret print interpretation for P&IDs, PFDs, Electrical One-Lines, and Mechanical Drawings.
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of Management of Change and Process Hazard Analysis
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate 4WD vehicles, manlifts, skid steers, and other equipment.
  • Understanding and ability to use self-contained breathing apparatus SCBA.




  • High School Diploma or Equivalent plus 2+ years of relevant industry experience or Associates Degree with 1 year of relevant industry experience
  • Availability to be in the on-call rotation
  • Able to work shift work when required to meet business needs


  • Associates Degree with 5 years relevant industry experience.
  • Prior experience in the operation or maintenance of natural gas processing or fractionation plant.
