Our Organization is seeking a highly skilled Operation Technician to be part of our Fort Beeler Gas Plant facility.  The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, operating and maintaining equipment such as cryogenic processing equipment, operation of liquid handling/processing equipment, fired heaters, pumps, compressors, gas processing pneumatic and electronic controls, and distributing process control systems.



  • Maintain equipment and perform repairs on plant processing equipment and all administrative functions associated with these duties
  • Maintains critical operating data relating to plant flows, pressures and temperatures
  • Monitors control room instruments to control operating pressures, flows and temperature conditions as well as product storage facilities so that they stay within safe and efficient operation ranges.
  • Maintains accurate daily logs
  • Adherence to policies and procedures
  • Discipline to perform work safely
  • Controls plant operations, solves complex problems and coordinates the efforts of plant personnel and contractors through start up, shutdown, housekeeping, safety and general operations
  • Work independently under periodic supervision for highly complex and non-routine task
  • Regularly perform a wide spectrum of non-routine, moderate to high-complexity assignments requiring technical evaluation
  • Maintain confidentialities while demonstrating professional conduct and business ethics
  • Consistently display proficiency in teamwork, interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • Readily identify, promptly act upon or efficiently organize any efforts needed to address safety and operational efficiencies, and protection of community, personnel, environment and assets
  • Reads, comprehends and utilizes complex operations and maintenance manuals
  • Training of less experienced operators
  • Collaborates with field personnel and gas control to enhance company performance
  • Must be able to work out of doors; requires occasional heavy lifting and climbing
  • 12 hours shift work is required


Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required or equivalent
  • Computer/Microsoft Office Applications; Maximo Asset Management System preferred
  • Possess at least 3+ year of experience in the natural gas industry or equivalent industry as an Operations Technician
  • Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • Must be available for overtime during nights, weekends and holidays
  • Good driving record and willingness to operate 4x4 vehicles
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for long periods of time
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be willing to work in extremely hot and cold temperatures
  • Be able to carry and lift items that can weigh 50lbs or more

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess an Associates’ degree and/or 3 years oil and gas equivalent industry processing plant experience is preferred
  • Previous experience with wellhead gas production equipment, gathering facilities, processing facilities, dehydration equipment, amine units, measurement equipment, compression, pumps, and pipeline equipment
